Your Right to Data Deletion

In accordance with data privacy regulations and our commitment to your privacy, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from our services. We provide a self-service feature to facilitate this process directly from your account settings.

How to Delete Your Data

To permanently delete your data, you can use the account deactivation feature. This process will anonymize your personal information. Please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your GiftDrive.org account.
2. Navigate to your Profile page by clicking on your name or avatar in the navigation bar.
3. In your profile, find the Security section or tab.
4. Locate the "Danger Zone" section and click the Deactivate My Account button.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the deactivation. You may be required to enter your password to complete the process.

What Happens When You Delete Your Data

When you deactivate your account, the following actions are taken:

• Your personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, and profile picture, is permanently removed and anonymized.
• Your account becomes inactive, and you will no longer be able to log in.
• Non-personal data, such as donation records, will be retained for financial and reporting purposes but will be disassociated from your personal identity.
• If you are the sole administrator of an organization with donation history, you may be prevented from deactivating your account until you transfer ownership or deactivate the organization.

This action is irreversible. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
